REFUND POLICY

We want you to be happy with your purchase, but we also have to set some ground rules. Here’s exactly how returns and refunds work at Barebachelor.

How long do I have to make a return?

You have a 30-day window from the date of your purchase to initiate a return. After that period has passed, we’re unable to process a refund or exchange. To get started, you’ll need to have your receipt or proof of purchase handy—we can’t complete the process without it. Also, please remember not to send your purchase back to the manufacturer; we handle everything directly.

Which items can I send back?

For a return to be accepted, the item needs to be unused, in the same condition you received it, and still in its original packaging. That said, there are certain products we simply can’t take back due to their nature. Perishable goods like food, flowers, newspapers, and magazines are final sale. The same goes for intimate or sanitary goods, hazardous materials, and flammable liquids or gases. Beyond those, here are a few more categories that are non-returnable:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products
  • Some health and personal care items

When might I only get a partial refund?

In some cases, a full refund isn’t possible. A partial refund may be granted if the returned item falls into one of these situations:

  • A book with obvious signs of use
  • A CD, DVD, VHS tape, software, video game, cassette tape, or vinyl record that has been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery

What happens after my package arrives back at your warehouse?

Once we receive your return, we’ll inspect it and send you an email to confirm it’s arrived. That same message will let you know whether your refund has been approved or rejected. If everything checks out, we’ll process the refund, and the money will be credited back to your original payment method—whether that’s a credit card or another option—within a certain number of days.

What if my refund hasn’t shown up?

If you’ve been waiting and don’t see the funds yet, there are a few steps to take. Start by double-checking your bank account. Then, get in touch with your credit card company; sometimes there’s a delay before the refund officially posts. After that, contact your bank, as they often have their own processing time. If you’ve gone through all of those steps and still haven’t received your refund, reach out to us at [email protected] and we’ll look into it.

How do sales, exchanges, and gifts work?

There are a few special scenarios to keep in mind. Only items purchased at their regular price are eligible for a refund—sale items cannot be refunded. If you’ve received a defective or damaged item, we’re happy to replace it for you; just email us at [email protected] to arrange an exchange. For gifts, the process depends on how the order was placed. If the item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of the return, and a gift certificate will be mailed to you once we’ve received the item. If it wasn’t marked as a gift, or the gift giver had it shipped to themselves first, the refund will go back to the original payment method, and the gift giver will be notified of the return.

Who covers the cost of sending something back?

You’ll be responsible for covering the return shipping costs. The original shipping charges are non-refundable, and the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund. The time it takes for an exchanged product to reach you can vary depending on your location. Before you ship anything back, please reach out to us at [email protected] for the correct return address. We can’t take responsibility for packages that go missing in the mail, so if you’re sending an item valued over $75, we strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
